2024 WREATH PROJECT at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery

Description
A local tradition began in 2006 when the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery opened outside of Dixon, California, and wreaths were placed on the gravesites at holiday time in honor of our fallen. It is estimated about 346,000 veterans live within the service area of this northern California cemetery and that it would serve the needs of this area for the next 50 years.
It’s the time of year that the RememberAVet.net Wreath Project is busy planning this year’s bough placement at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery and sharing those plans with you! This is typically the time of year when the most donations come in and, with your help, the entire cemetery will be covered again this year.
12th Annual Remember, Respect & Honor Motorcycle Run: Join the fun Sunday, November 10th, starting at 8:00 AM (registration), at Buckhorn Bar & Grill in Dixon. We’ve attached the flyer with all of the information and raffle prizes are still being collected, if you are able to help with that. These families generously host this event every year exclusively benefiting the Wreath Project and we are extremely grateful for all they do!
Bough Placement information for 2024: The bough placement date has been set and it is Saturday, December 14th, starting at 7:30 AM. Volunteers will be needed for:
**Friday, December 13th at 3:00 PM; unloading trucks at SVNC (adults and teenagers)
**Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 AM; bough placement (all ages)
**Saturday, January 11th at 7:30 AM; SVNC clean-up day (all ages)

We do need to purchase 35,000 boughs this year to memorialize each of the veterans resting at SVNC and look to your participation and contributions to help in covering the entire cemetery again this year. No contribution is too small and we appreciate you sharing this information with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to keep this special community-based event going and growing!
